Business of Fashion are a London based advertising/publishing agency that provides multimedia solutions for their clients.
The Business of Fashion has built a global following as an essential daily resource for fashion creatives, business professionals and entrepreneurs all over the world. It is frequently described as “indispensable,” “required reading” and “an addiction”. Our task was to produce a prestigious publication with specialised finishing. The requirements were to produce two magazines of which one was to be attached in to the other. Both magazines needed to be printed on to uncoated material whist maintaining a high quality print finish. The second part of the challenge was to be able to manage the logistics of the global distribution.
Research was undertaken to find suitable uncoated paper to perform the print tests and various finishes meeting the brief. We performed a multitude of tests whereby we re-configured the true flow print curves and inkwise to achieve the desired print finish.
Various finishing techniques were undertaken in order to find the best solution to enable the smaller insert magazine to be single stitched in to the main magazine.
Due to our excellent relationships with our International couriers we successfully managed global distribution by ensuring deliveries took place within the different launch dates given. Destinations included Australia, India, USA and Europe.

The magazine was a huge success throughout the fashion industry, including a glowing endorsement from the office of the world renowned fashion designer Tom Ford and The New York Times. Due to the success of the launch issue we continue to work with Tomorrowland on the printed publication.
